Our goal at CZA is to prepare your child for his or her bar/bat mitzvah in way that further builds their Jewish identity, commitment to congregational life and to God. Therefore, we strive to prepare each student with more than just the skills needed for the actual service. We teach Jewish history, culture, and theology. An important aspect of this training is helping the student understand Israel's relationship to the Church as the two-fold People of God.
We encourage each student to participate to the fullest extent of their abilities. We also believe that this is a family event and encourage participation of parents in their child's training.
CZA does not require membership for parents of a bar/bat mitzvah, but we do require that the parents and their child attend services regularly for at least a year. Feel free to contact us to get further information.
